Fencing History 

• 1969 Started fencing at the City College of New York
  
  
• 1968 Coached by Edward Lucia, 1968 Olympic team coach
  
  
• 1973 Captain of City College Varsity fencing team
  
  
• 1974 - 1980 New York Turn Verein, Coached by Odon Neiderkirschner, Hungarian fencing master and Francisco Martin, Sabre coach from Spain. Yung was Chairman of NYTV Fencing during that time
  
  
• 1980 - 1993 New York Fencers club, Coached by Czaba Elthes, coach of five US Olympic Sabre teams. Yung served on the board of the NYFC
  
  
• 1980 - 1993 Member of the Board of Directors of the New York Fencers Club
  
  
• 1994 - to present. Yung moved to Seattle, WA area and began coaching while still actively competing nationally and internationlly.
  
  
• 1996 Inducted into the NY City College Athletic Hall of Fame
  
  
• 1997 - 1998 Western Washington Division Chair
  
  
• 1998  Hosted NAC in Bellevue, WA
  
  
• Yung is Nationally rated Sabre referee
  
  
• Member of 15 World Veteran Championship Teams

• 2017  Asian Veteran Fencing Championships, Thailand - Gold Men's Team

• 2018 Asian Veteran Fencing Championships, Japan - Gold Men's Sabre

• 2018 Asian Veteran Fencing Championships, Japan - Silver Medal Men's Team
